Je fais aussi du crochet / I also make crochet !

First of all, please accept my apology for this article!

A very strange post today for those who don't "know" me. The others already know that I'm completely silly.

Depuis elle me suit partout.

Meet Petronille! my old doll that follows me since I'm in this world! An aunt as offered this doll to me when I was something like one day :P If my flat was on fire it would be the first thing that I would save! Yes! And when I think of it she has already been on fire twice, and many horrible things have hapenned to her!

She's from the Corolle collection from 1985. If someone can find one, please tell me XD It looked like this 26 years ago. Don't laugh!

Here's how whe looks today... She had many faces (my grand mother and my grand grand mother have always embroided her "face"). She had something like 10 faces at least. Yes. As the original "skin" is absolutly destroyed, my grand mother had the idea when I  6 or 7 to make a new skin with wool. Today it's here 4th wool skin, because the 3rd one was becoming fragile and grey. The last one has been finished this morning. A real restoration work! XD Even if you won't see the difference ("well it's still a horrible thing"!)\*O*/

I'm quite proud (even if you certainkly find this doll horrible!) since I've never been able to make the entire skin before! I always ask to my grand mother to attach the arms and to make the head.

It's very hard to preserv a thing that you love so much. You don't really dare to work on it. It's the first time that I choose to superpose 2 skins. The very first one is so damaged that I don't even want to see how it looks. I 'd be unable to embroid her "face" for example XD To pin something on her. It's impossible :P

Petronille is the dwarf from Amélie Poulain. I've got many many pics of her in several situations. I know it's terryfying! She's my family's  mascot! Everybody knows her! And now the internet knows her. And now, you'll stop subsribing that blog! XD
